Hi all TD5 now stuck on my drive again can anyone help please.
Battery light popped on then disappeared then wouldn’t start. Turned over a few hours later but all lights on dash on. Then it died. Then lost it’s eka code entered eka then died again. Battery died then to. Had someone plug it in to diagnose nothing showed up. He got it started battery dropped when pressed accelerater died again. Discovered there was no oil in landy ? And there was oil in the bcu. Had bcu cleaned out, and charged battery. But bcu back but now there is a loud whining noise from the back underneath never heard it before. And it will not start it’s trying. Has anyone any ideas what or where I should be looking at please. Desperate to get this lady back on the road as my little feet can not handle the walking

Sound at the rear may be coming from the Fuel Filter? See attached pic! If it is coming from that? You will need to let it charge before starting the engine?

Your engine had no oil in it??

To be honest your description above is very confusing.

loud whining noise sounds like fuel pump.

Cheers

Hi yep no oil confused me as no sign of oil on floor. Yes it could be coming from that looking at it. Just had a local bloke in garage look at it he said it’s fuel perching ?? Never heard of this. Because of that it may need a new crank sensor ??. Now I’m not sure this bloke knows what he’s talking about. You say I need to charge before turning the engine over is that the battery ?. Sorry if I’m completely on the wrong line but used to have someone who did it all for me now I’ve got to learn it myself . Thank you all

You don't charge it! It does it its self! When you turn the ignition key? (Not to start the car!!) Once it has gone through its cycle! Try starting the car! (But! Be aware you may drain the battery?) I only know because I had a similar problem before Christmas and had to get a new Fuel filter! And learned the hard way about the fuel filter going through its charge and drained my battery!!! Because I did not wait!
As I said? That's if it's coming from the Fuel filter??

He probably said fuel PURGING.

He probably said fuel PURGING.
That was it. Had someone try and start it today he said it’s purging the fuel which is good. But it won’t start. Looks like I’m going to have to bite the bullet and drop it to a decent garage.
