okay so here we are again, 1.8 k series engine cranks but wont turn over ,

it was fine when i parked it ...2 days later...it wont start...
its tries too,.. it coughs slightly when turning the ignition on, that point with older vehicles where your brain goes '' go on...go on you tw@'' expecting the ''waaaay'' but it never gets that far,...
now...
it has sparks at the plugs which are new, fuel in the tank, new ht leads, new dizzy cap, pressurised fuel at the inlet to the injectors, pump is priming and working as it should and today i took out the injectors and checked them, they're firing as they should,
sparks are wet on the ends and ive removed the air filter just to be sure it wasn't blocked, all seems fine...

now...going off that, a friend suggested to me immediatley , that the immobiliser could be playing up,.. however surely , there would be no spark, or fuel being injected into the cyinder, could it??
ive read on here about the coil pack, but again...would it still spark at the plugs if this was done in??

ive tried absolutley everything i can think off and im now at my wits end with this freelander,.. i knew i should have just got another disco 2

Sounds like a strange fault. Have you put a diagnostic reader on it, so you can check sensor feedback, as it doesn't take much to stop the engine starting.
Things to check is correct engine temperature being received by the ECU.
Also correct feedback from the cam position sensor.

currently on a pc so cant upload the video im about to talk about,..

ive spoken to my trusty mechanic and showed him a video, as id taken the injector rail off, and took a short video of them all spraying ,
id told him all ive done and not done, now hes suggested theres wayy too much fuel being injected and flooding the engine, as soon as he saw the video, he said there appears to be too much fuel preasure and to check the coolant temp sensor and the air flow meter, if its none of those , its the ecu,

Check all the fuses in the engine bay fuse box, as the various sensors are supplied power from various fuses.

It won't be the ECU, as it wouldn't spray anything if it was.

I'm thinking it's missing some sensor feedback, which is allowed too much fuel to flow.
