Hello and welcome to the forum!
Have you been to the part of the forum called "Introduce yourself", you could try that.
Doubtless a D3 eggspurt will come on soon and help, meanwhile all I can suggest is that you, or your "pain" disconnect the battery and then give it a while to settle down, then reconnect it again, tightly. By the "bloody thing" did you mean the new stereo or the whole vehicle?
You will find that members on here respond very well to accurate information, politeness, banter and not calling LR products "jeeps"!
You'd be surprised how many problems are down to either a flat battery or one whose connections are not tight enough.
Best of luck
Stan
