what is the problem when going up a long hill and my 2007 range rover sport losses power and wont go fast than 50mp then when I get to the top of the hill it seems to come back to full power it will throw a check engine light but by the time I get it to the mechanic it has gone out

It only needs a brief reminder to the poster ter thank people for help given. A book on it isn't required.
