help!

Had a bit of time today so changed the diaphragm, put everything back together and the bloody car wont go up. All pipes are on properly, pump is brand new and making good air put running continuously

I also just dropped the air block exhaust down the drain cos my hands were so bloody cold! Not sure where to go with it now

Diaphragm in the right way round? Exhaust silencer is not too important.

yeah just reading wammers how to guide. diaphragm is in right. just wondering if a seal has slipped. air is escaping from exhaust. Doh!

also i had a fiddle with connectors on passenger footwell. just thought id check the condition. moved them and got a high pitch squeal, like an alarm. one of them is a bit green in the white block.

That will teach you to fiddle with things

Diaphragm is not seated correctly

Clean the connectors with a good contact cleaner NOT WD40.

Depending where you got the diaphragm from, there are some propper dodgy ones that are way to hard to work. I ended up having to get another one from the guy recommend on here SymplieP38 or something like that he was...

Bloody hell you only have a diaphragm an O'Ring and a spring or did you play with anything else.

No but I had screaming kid in my ear when I did it. ****ed off with myself! The parts are OEM.

You must have done something wrong can't think how it can be done wrong to be honest. Unless diaphragm is wrong way up.

Exactly. That's what's annoying me. Was surprised how easy air block was to get out though

Nothing hard about it just if you take it apart there are a few rules to follow.

If you fitted a diaphragm properly years ago then you wouldn't have a kid screaming down your ear

Haha true!

I did it methodically...... Or so I thought! Will find out when I take it back apart. Will hohopefully get back when it's still daylight one day this week.

FIXED!!!! Took it all apart, couldn't find anything wrong, I just stuck a bit of grease around the new diaphragm, put it back together and all is good! Happy days but I am cold now!
