Hello there, firstly open the bonnet and have a look for anything obvious. I'm sure you can give people a little more information.

no leaks started black smoking a lot, not got a lot of power takes awile for the revs to go past 3 thou if this helps sorry for not being to clear with my description cant see anything that looks different under bonet

started and took for a run today and turbo whistles but no guts in engine not using any oil, turbo pipes got a little oil in them not loads ,cant find replacement turbo with my turbo id

As has already been said, check the pipes as they can delaminate on the inside and still look OK on the outside.

If the whistling is louder than normal I would defeninatly change the hoses. Change them anyway before the turbo its a lot cheaper to find out if its them before you buy a turbo.

One of the easiest ways is to squeeze the pipes and see if they feel the same sort of 'solid' all the way along.

If you find any part that is even the slightest bit squidgy compared to the remainder, the chances are that the inside is coming away from the outer covering.

Then take the pipe of and have a look down it and give it a gentle poke with a long screwdriver, and if anything starts coming away, it's delaminating and needs replacing.

thanks for telling me how to check them will check them properly now I know what im looking for when the frost melts off the old girl
