Hello, I started a thread yesterday about me 200tdi overheating, ( please read for more background info) today I went to look at this problem more closely. I sure did find a BIG problem. The tubo hose, air box, air filter and the engine are full of a combination of both water and oil. Its evident that I have a hell of a problem on my hands, but what caused this!? And more importantly, how the hell do i fix it?!

Thanks

Drop the sump, remove intercooler, soak air filter in petrol and clean (if poss). Drain rad and header tank - not a big deal. Head bolts and gasket + do the P gasket so around £75and fit new thermostat £5. Is you radiator in good nick? Also check water pump.
