I am new so not sure where to put my question, so I have put it here with hope that someone will find it!

I have A 1999 3 Dr Freelander and my heater switch will only work on 3 and 4 and not on 1 and 2, Any ideas would help.

Thanks,
Jimbobsn

PS, If the site is here to help others who may have some insight to there problem and may help fix it, why do we get these so called clever whits who post offensive and abusive language, why not post there ideas instead so not to offend others and drive them away from this?

Probably the switch. If you scroll down on the main page there is a Freelander forum, loads of useful advice on there.

Worn contacts from being mainly used on 1 & 2 for most of its life? Try removing it and get some switch cleaner on it. I would guess that if it works at all it is probably the switch itself that's at fault

As for banter, that's another matter altogether, but I expect you'll get a bit having mentioned "freelander" in your 1st post :)

hi there..:welcome2:

if you have read enough of the site to be concerned about the responses received to queries, you must have seen that the freelander owners try to keep to themselves in the freelander section where they are left alone to enjoy their chat.. :blabla:

this section is for general landrover chat, whereas your question is specific to freelanders..

i respectfully suggest that you duck out of here and scurry to the freelander section, where you can chat about such things as hairdressing and how to stop your doors falling off.. but i congratulate you on buying a 3 door, thats two less things to worry bout.. :)

maybe they fall off because we have them for as long as the whole car in opposition of other LR owners that have to change them every time they get their big tails stuck in them.
mine are still very secure, even after 200k km.

don't mind the banter its just other peoples insecurity rising to the surface ;D

why do we get these so called clever whits who post offensive and abusive language,

Forgive me for stating the obvious.. but YOU are in THEIR house are you not ? ...
You can always exercise the great british 'freedom' and leave, if you're not happy.
You might get a few pelters.. you may just as equally not ... but the old 'adage' of 'when in Rome' might be worth some consideration.

Welcome by the way. :welcome2:

I have a mouth like a sewer, but fortunately a reasonable amount of grey matter to offset that when necessary.

These's plenty of alternatives if you want to take your crochet hook and curlers to one of those.. ;)

Shy laddies never got the sweeties, as me grannie used to say:D
