Just signed up to here and I'm looking for advice. I've driven a couple of 110's in the past but never owned a Landy.

I'm in the market for one now around the £9K mark, and I'm open minded about it being either a 90 or a 110. The only thing that's imperative is that it needs to have (at least) 3 seats.

So... are there any warning signs I should look for when I'm tyre kicking?

Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers folks,

Joe

Hi Joe, welcome to the forum. Defenders hold their value well. And from what I've seen recently, the 110 station wagons tend to be the most desirable and prices reflect that.

If your seating requirements could work with a centre front seat (i.e no cubby box), then you could perhaps go for a 90 Hardtop with 3 front seats and you may get better value for money. Not sure if middle seat is a lap belt though (rather than 3 point).

There's loads of threads on this forum about what to look out for, so best to do a quick search and theres a wealth of useful info.

Does it have to be a Defender?? You'd probably get a decent Disco 2 for that sort of money.

Good luck and if you kick the tyres and the wheel falls off - run away quick :D

Cheers, Jon
