They can be cows sometimes cant they ? Ive got a six or severn page thread on another forum where I was trying to track down a miss fire. I checked every sensor,cross referenced all the data with known good ones, had the software for my faultmate updated as I found a bug in it, purchased a hand held oscilloscope to get some reallly accurate info.Ii had given up and was getting ready to take a trip over to 8inaV (4 hour drive) when in desperation I thought I would take another look at the ECU. Closer inspection found significant corrosion around three of four of the pins especially in the area of the crank position sensor. How it happened I dont know, but 10 minutes with some emery and a oxy acetylene nozzle cleaner and she was as good as gold.....

So dont give up. it will be something that can be fixed and you will find it when you dont expect too.
 
long shot have you taken off your idle control valve and given it a clean. Throttle position sensor ? and the other sensor that sits near it.

hg done etc
put back together
run for about 200 niles aok
but has progressively got worse n worse wont run to well now been on test book no faults ?????
 
no mate hgs are good..

started lossing power on lpg then started doins same on petrol. now wont barely run wont rev just pops thru air ointake n misses told may be cats broken up n blocking exhzust but dropped them off the manifolds n stil the same.....

quick question tho should i be able to wobble the push rods with the rocker shaft torquied down ???? cant move ones on drivers side but 7 of the 8 on n/s are movable,

If you've had an head off and didn't sqeeze down the hydraulic tappets before you put it back on, maybe you've bent a couple of valves.
