Help with tyres

Hey guys I wanna get a new set of tyres on black steels I found some that are 265/70/16 but will they fit my standard disco? At the moment I am running 235/70/16 will there be a huge difference or rubbing?

no you will be fine just don't turn corners

At that size i imagine would affect accuracy on speedo , depends if its lifted etc regarding rubbing

no change in diameter so no speedo difference it's the width he is changing

The tyres will only be 30 mm wider so will that make it more difficult to turn?

needs to check width of steels as 30 mm diff in width in tyres. are rims wide enough ?? i can't answer this but think ther are enough post's on tyres to get the answer by a search

Yeah coz I found a price which are 4 265/70/16 insa dakara on steel rims, comes as a set so the steel are made for those tyres

Sorry I disagree with the above post that going wider does not affect diameter - it does increase diameter.

If you want wider but no increase in diameter you need to drop the ratio say to 65% for 265's

They will be fine disco has plenty clearance plus most after market wheels are offset to allow wider tyres

well not from the figures first figure width second figure wall depth third figure wheel size. all the wheel calculations i have seen,done, wheel dia and wall depth come into count on diam.Not the width

Mines on 285's, 8J wheels, 30mm spacers and a +2" lift with no rubbing.

The first figure is the width, the second is the % of the width to make the height and the last is the wheel diameter.
