I'm new to this so please bare with me,

It's my mums Freelander and couldn't be 100% on details but its a 05 reg 2.5l diesel.

She brought it from a garage last month and an injector went on it, which they have fixed, but since getting it back after the repair, the steering wheel wobbles even at low speeds and it pulls to the left, also steering seems stiff.

Could it just be the tracking and balance that needs doing????

My concern is that there were no problems before the breakdown, so would the repairs have caused this????

Looking for as much info as possible before we return to the garage as they haven't been very helpful so far.

Thanks

Sounds like it has got freelander steering of death syndrome!

The vehicle is evil and is trying to kill you and your mother! There are only two ways to solve this! Either you can..........

A) Take the vehicle back and get a full refund from the dealership

Or

B) Wait for the next full moon and then douse it with petrol and set fire to it while sacrificing a small pet rabbit or guinea pig to a real land rover!

Steering of death syndrome.........????? Lol

We want a full refund but have to show its not fit for use.......

Nah ya don't, if its with in six months you can just take it back and tell em you have changed your mind and don't like it!

Read the buying a crock of **** thread!

We're getting the tracking and balancing done to see what that does and going from there.

Thanks everyone for your time,

There's no such thing as a 2.5 diesel freelander? How old is it? Describe the fault more, speeds, rev ranges it does it etc! They may have rammed a kerb on road test and bent it or even left a wheel loose:(

Latest update,

She took it to have the tracking and balancing done, they also said it needed 2 new tyres on the rear as they had started to shred and the front ones are out of shape...

The front ones are what the garage put on as new.....????

And the garage are refusing to pay for the rear ones as she did call them first....

Would that car have passed the mot in that state????

The garage are being total........ Anyway I'm now looking to get the vehicle inspected by vosa and will be fighting for a full refund of the car and additional costs.

Any advice please?????????????
