Help! What year is my Landy?

Hi, I have just bought an ex military series 3 that has lived in Jersey since 1993

the chassis number is 90105002A

Can anyone help me with what year it is please, last uk reg no was GPN8384 which i assume was when it was in the military

other than that the log book doesn;t say what year it was/is

according to the chassis number it's the 5002nd series 3 produced,mine is the 243rd and is 1971.i'm not sure of the yearly production figures but i would think yours must be 1972 or '73.

If you check back through the forum there is a link to a site that will explain how to read your chassis number. I'm at work till late tonight if you don't get the site I'll try And check it out when I get home.

Thanks Dee, i did find production numbers which if the first post is correct mine is a 1971 (I think)

they must have been busy,mine is no.243 and was registered in early november 1971 so was probably made in october.
