As shown in photos my roll cage gets in the way of the wing duct and elbow for the air intake.

Any ideas of ways round this. I've got a bit of piping to run up the inside of the snorkel, which looks a bit **** but works.

I reckon james is spot on ie the pipes to small, Iirc std defender before air filter is 60mm inside diameter.

When I first fitted safari snorkel to my 200tdi, along my regular route to and from work theres some long hills and I noticed the lack of power at the top end, pop the pipe off under the bonnet where it goes into the air filter and normal service was resumed, pipe back on and it was like someone had flicked a switch to reduce the power.

Im not so sure its as simple as just the pipe size or the filter etc, but it certainly makes a difference on what is after all a very old designed low tech diesel engine.

Hmmm not sure what else to do, it's the only size that will fit into the snorkel
