My td4 is in the process of getting a new turbo fitted after it failed and allthe oil was being lost through it. After its all back together the engine won't turn, it will turn backwards but only half a turn forwards. Any help much apprieciated
cheers
Tom

Difficult one Tom, need more info really:

When the turbo failed did everything come to a sudden stop?

Whilst changing the turbo could something have fallen inside the engine and may now be jamming the valve gear?

problem solved! There was oil in the top of the cylinders causing a hydralic effect when trying to turn the engine obviously unable to compress the oil therefore unable to turn engine past the compression stroke my freelander is now up and running once more
cheers
