Ok so no fuel pressure loosens an injector pipe and nought. Is there a common failure for these? Td4 been making a hollow growl noise for a while and more recently a tufttuft uft noise like loose injevtor but just checked all them...

It was serviced about 6 months ago by a garage. but am thinking along same lines . Previously it could hunt / stumble after a hard acceleration.

right been hammering the keyboard waiting for the garage to open, hoping they will tow me and have a spare car, they are only a mile from the breakdown.
Anyway 4 of the 6 fault codes are to do with the throttle body valve and I found a youtube video of one being replaced - he started the car first and it has a similar sound to the hollow knocking I was talking about. fingers crossed.

ok so this is turning out just great... not the garage replaced the throttle body and a cam sensor - still no fuel pressure - replaced the low pressure pump and got fuel to the engine still no fuel at the injectors - wood ruffkey was damaged in the high pressure pump so it failed as did the lower pressure one. Knew i should have walked away when the previouse owner said that Charles Hurst did a lot of work...

High pressure pump in and fuel to injectors but they are not working. garage is changing the crank sensor now... did i hear someone say (father in law) these ( guessing td4 he was taking about a mate doing petrol to diesel conversions!!) are known for shutting down and need plugged in and reset.
Anyone know what he's talking about?

ok so got it back a couple of weeks ago - unfortunately i aint been in the mood to post due to this getting me down and the father in law passing. Getting back up to speed now.
reading back i forgot about the sensors getting changed; the other list of parts to get her going again is as follows in the order of fitting
throttle body - 2nd hand
low pressure pump - new
high pressure pump - 2nd hand
2 injectors - from JJ car parts tested and guaranteed
high pressure pump - new
1 2nd hand injector (garage sourced)

its just not running right - I think its down on power - maybe better injectors not letting as much fuel through? and a bit of an unstable tick-over for which i started a new post.
i haven't been brave enough to push it hard yet but we will need her to tow a caravan and there is a steep hill with a tight turn up out of the town i live in!!!!

I am only using torque pro and its clear - cant afford anything else after the garage bill - but i do have a Foxwell nt530 in my sights..
