For some reason my 1995 (not edc) 300tdi auto has developed a strange problem, it sticks on full throttle but only in 1st gear?it then releases after after about 30 secs on it's own,just enough time for me to **** my trousers!
You can fiddle with the pedal when it does it and it doesn't release it, the only way to stop it sticking is to put it in neutral then it releases straight away. It does it in D from a standstill or low speed(1st gear) and in 1 but not in 2,3 or top or reverse.Both throttle and kickdown cables feel free but if they were sticking I would have thought it would stick all the time,only thing I can think of is the valve block inside the autobox.
Anybody come across this before or any ideas?
