Help !!Starting problems !!

Hi All
I'm new here, I have an automatic Discovery 2 on an 04 plate, it has developed a starter problem and it has now stopped altogether, when driving it earlier the two mode lights on the dash were flashing (M and S) and it wasn't starting off in first gear i parked up and then after 2 hours it went back to normal.
I have just tried starting and it wont turn over and the same lights are flashing.
anyone have any ideas ???

Did you search as @neilly suggested?

Seems like XYZ switch failure but the best would be to read the fault code stored in the transmission ECU to be certain

thanks for the suggestions turns out it was a starter motor......bye bye £££

Don't buy a whole unit you can get refurb kits for about £15!!

Bugger I already got it fixed thanks anyway
