Help. Range Rover P38 4.6 hse wont start

any advice help would be very gratefully accepted. I bought the range rover yesterday (26/8/13), drove 100 + miles with no problem, today, won't start, on display it say key in ignition, turn the key and ....... nothing. Also when you start the it the man I bought it off told me I have to press and hold the button on the fob while turning the key in the ignition, it does/did start, just wondering is this normal procedure, 1st Rangie after 3 disco's, so dont have a clue.

Why not go to the Range Rover section, there are a lot more people viewing that than here

Thanx for replying. Problem solved, wire off the starter motor. There is a god.lol
