help plz

hey all, i'm after a diesel engine for my series 3. it has a 3.5 sdi in at the mo but far to costly!!!! i would like a turbo diesel engine hopefully quite new but what sort will be compatable dont mind a bit of work ie welding etc what would fit my standard gearbox?????? any1 know of 1 for sale cheers all

di or 200tdi seems the way to go - plenty of write-ups on it - search here or on google.
