Help please

Evening all hope you can help me with a little prob, i've just replaced my reversing switch under the disco and with assistance got my lights working but my lights stay working even when the car isn't in reverse, so i got back under the car to try and find the point where they are on in reverse and off when not, but gave up cos i couldn't work it out, so please please does any one have any idea's on what is going on ta

ok so no one knows then ? does anyone know how to "reset" the switch then, cos according to the rave cd ive got the reverse switch needs resetting before putting back in thanks

according to my Rave cd there are two systems - one for the manual and the other (surprise) for the auto (comprises an inhibitor). Nothing about resetting tho.
