however....

This morning no turbo... :(

stopped, gloves on have a look at the pipes, all tight...

Bonnet down carry on... turbo coming back???

took it out of gear to see what the TPS response would be and revs up then hold/carries on a little bit before settling... Think I read somewhere that this aint normal...

Anyhow, by the time I'd got to work to turbo was 90% back to normal as it was at the weekend...? whats all that about... not warmed up right... MASS AIR sensor on the blink when cold...?:doh::doh::doh:

same thing this morning... i am thinking now that this is a cold starting issue...

once its warm there isn't a problem .???

Don't know if temperature would cause this but some folks have had intercooler hoses de-laminate internally blocking air flow. They say it takes careful examination of the hoses to find it.

The hoses are prone to de laminating inside or in laymans terms they collapse when the engine is under load and block the air flow - no air flow = poor performance.

If the turbo is coming into operation when you are driving then it cannot (/) be faulty - i would think they either work - or they don't!

Best to elliminate one thing at a time although its not gonna be an easy one!

towlander - where did you get the hoses and whats the cost? I'm considering changing mine as a service item next time round given their tendancy to split/collapse?

thanks

Rob

Got the complex one from a LR dealer... they wanted £45 then with a little sign it dropped to £35  Got the 90 deg. off ebay... as I cannot get to the LR dealer on sat... but they are £5-£6 from the dealer.

If you want a link to the ebay dealer pm me fella... but it was a little more with postage...
