Help please - crankshaft position sensor wiring

Hi....help please!!
Just put a refurbished gearbox in my 2002 TD5 Disco. It's bolted up ready to be raised for the gearbox mounts, but when I came to reconnect the crankshaft position sensor, I find that the plug is only connected by one of the two wires - the white one. The black wire comes out of the plug and has a tail of about 300mm, but I cannot find where it connects to. There is no loose black end in the loom, no obvious other connection, so where does it go?
My best guess is that it is an earth (it is black!) and that it runs to an earth point on the back of the engine. Can anyone advise me please?

Are you sure you are talking about the CPS and not the oil pressure switch? this is MY2000 elec diagram.

Aaarrggghh....you're absolutely right! Getting confused...that's what 2 days under an oily Disco does for your brain. Many thanks.....might get away for Easter now after all!
