Morning all
I know I'm one of the newbies and too some extent feel a little cheeky to ask but......
I'm in the process of rebuilding a shortened rrc and fitting with defender panels etc I've changed the bushes on the trailing arms and managed to get it all back together ( I'm a fully qualified novice mechanic ) but the pan hard rod won't go back in as its slightly on an angle and it seems that the axle itself is sitting high as the prop shaft is tight against the gearbox crossmember. Short of stripping it down and starting again I'm at a bit of a loss so any help advice would be very much appreciated.

Thanks on advance

A fully qualified novice mechanic? That's a bit of a paradox isn't it.

Bolt the panhard rod onto the chassis first then you'll have to get someone to turn the steering wheel a little bit at a time whilst you try to line the other end up within the bracket attached to the chassis. When you start doing it you'll see what I mean
