Calmly driving along on my recently purchased 110 only to find that overtaking me on the inside of the dual carraigeway was my very own rear passenger side wheel. After much grinding and fireworks I ground to a halt at 7am and proceeded to muster a 3 mile tailback. I found my wheel and thought of there is not too much damage, yes I have lost by brake hub but I could perhaps refit the wheel to get me at least off of the road. I look at my wheel and see that it has wheel spacers which I have never seen before. There inside is the wheel nuts that I cant get to because I cant remove the landrover special wheel nuts. These things seem to have covers on thembut I could not get them off. Can anyone tell me the secret to removing these wheel nuts as I feel very embarassed?

the genuine land rover locking nuts come with an alloy cover (looks like a normal wheel nut, but has a dimple in it)
There is a special tool, that comew with them. Its a plastic tube shape, with bent claw shap at one end, you push it onto the nut cover, it engages, then you pull the whole lot off...

Unfortunately the seller has not given me this part, can they be removed any other way or can i purchase one of these removal tools?

Or just get a pair of pliers and pull them off  Oh and only the locking one comes off the rest stay on the nuts and you just fit the wheels wrench straight over them..:
