L322 Help needed water coolant issue

I've just had my thermostat done on my 3.0 l322 and it now comes up with check coolant level. I'm assuming it's got air in the system but the garage said they've bleed it and it had no issues it only comes up if you drives for 5 mins

It will come up with the message if the antifreeze is not up to strength.

This will sound stupid but can I just keep adding antifreeze a bit at a time or do I need to start again?

You could test the specific gravity, other than that I don't know. Maybe the garage just topped up with water after doing the stat or the wrong type of antifreeze.
