hi there.

this morning i went to work in my landy to find the water temperature rise rapidly and the overheating light came on. it was freezing this morning and there was no heating from the blowers.
also i could go over 45 mph and over 2500rpm.

this evening i turned it on again the water temp is fine now on a quarter.
but i still cant go over 45 mph and the 2500rpm again

can anyone help me out please as i need to get to work this week

thanks james

from what you described i would say your engine was frozen or at least the pipes feeding your heater box, you say you used it tonight was the heater working, have you had the antifreez tested, it very possiable that the anti freeze needs changing or needs more adding to it, im not sure on how the system work on your landy but my guess is does the water temp control the fuel injection system, modern vehicles and me are not the best of friends i have a better raport with older vehicles, but i would check the water mix first, then check if the heater is working,if the heater isnt working you have a blockage as with how the weather is the chances are its frozen so you have no circulation. this can lead to other components not working hence down on power or throttle.not sure if this helps you. regards jim

thanks for the info i did think that i have got anti freeze in the cooling system though so it shouldnt have frozen up. ill put some more anti freeze in it now then and hopefully it wont freeze up is it worth running the engine and driving round the block for a bit for the engine to warm up a bit? then add the anti freeze into the cooling system after to maximise it going round the system?
