Have you took the prop fully off as you have to change the ujs?

If you have take it for a short drive to see if the vibration has gone. Just a thought ;)

I'm still struggling to work out how you can't get difflock to engage.
Is the main selector lever in the car seized through lack of use & won't move sideways?
Is it possible to undo the nut that holds the small lever onto the transfer box, lift that lever off & use a spanner to engage it - it is on my RRC but I think there are a number of different linkages?
No need to remove the bolts on the plate as he has in this.(Not the best video but all I could find)

The problem isn't with the transfer box is it?

Hi all,
I changed both UJs on the front propshaft today and took it for a test drive, had a very small amount of vibration, so drove over to the local Land Rover garage to seek advice. On the way there and back (over an hour) I didn't feel any vibration. He suggested that we change the more worn front tyres for the new rear ones, as I felt that would help and rule that out. So we changed them around at my workshop and started driving home. On the way back (20 mins) we had several periods of the vibration again, really only a bit better than it was on Saturday.

Any more suggestions? Just to repeat, it happens mostly around 40 to 50mph, dipping the clutch kills it instantly and feels like you are going over the bumpy lines at the edges of motorways (not quite as bad as this, but same feeling). Does feel like it coincides with revs, but perhaps lower revs bring it on (as I think does a bump in the road, although I cannot say this for sure as it doesn't happen every time by any means).

Could it be related to the oil levels in the transfer box or gearbox? I haven't checked them for a while.

All and any advice really appreciated.

Bugger it. Read all the forums about these sorts of vibrations it seems you can send a lifetime trying to work them out. So it's Cornwall or bust! (Which sounds all fall hardy, but actually we have full AA cover and I know the Land Rover garage in Penryn is very good!)

If it's still vibrating by the time we get back I might try a new propshaft, just on the off chance it's thrown a weight.
