Haven't been in here for a while lol . Just hoping someone can help me a bit please, had a small electrical fire behind the clocks on my 1987 90. I've worked out that It's the wire from the ignition switch to the stop solenoid but for some reason I've lost my oil pressure light, charge light and some other warning lights. Does anybody know where the wire goes between the ignition switch and the solenoid please. thank you

I had the stop solenoid go on my 110, flames shooting up from solenoid and wire red hot all the way back which melted every wire in contact with it. Have a look at all the wiring.

Start with where the stop wire enters the loom behind the dash, you will have to strip some covering back.[likely hot spot where wire first enters the bundle]Then check where it exits the loom on the way to the solenoid.Check your earth straps are good as well.
I fitted a battery cut off after a similar front side light wiring meltdown and ended up fitting new cables external to the loom.

found the burned wire.It had gone from the back of the ignition switch to the block connector, just a bit puzzled at the mo a I've by passes the wire going to the stop solenoid and joined it to the alternator wire a it was in the connector. Only thing is the other wire that I assume went to the solenoid now goes live as soon as the alt light goes off, but isn't otherwise ☹
