yesterday when i was driving along the fault message came up on the dash screen "eas fault" can anyone help or tell me how it can be reset or tested

Unfortunately as I have recently found out, unless you have a good local LR independent specialist, a trip to a Land Rover main dealer is the only option as it requires a very specialist diagnostic computer to reset and generally mess with the EAS ECU.

You don't say where you are, I'm in Yorkshire & I have a Rovacomlite which will sort your problem.
Otherwise its a trip to the dealership.
