Hi all my rear diff has broke it's a 200 disco but it's running 300 diff etc picked up a rear 300 disco 24 spline diff have put it on but I can only do the top 3 bolts and the bottom 3 bolts up as the 4 side studs only just come thro the diff has eny1 else had this will 6 out of 10 bolts be ok lol

are the bolts fully home? they are a tolerance fit in the diff and can be removed with a sharp tap of a soft faced mallet. that or they're snapped again not a problem as easy to replace. And no it won't be ok to run with only 6 bolts connected. If it was LR would have only used 6 Bolts.

Yea the six bolts are all the way home I checked the studs and there not snapped but they only just poke thro. I was joking about only using 6 bolts Could I get longer studs

Do I take the diff back off and take it back to breakers and see if I can swap it or change the studs

At a quick look it seems as if my old diff cassing Is thiner were the side studs go thro

Is it just a case off wack them out the push and bolt longer studs in place

Yes but the studs don't bolt in the body is splined and has a flat oval (IIRC) head. I Think I have a load in Yeovil. they are pushed in from the inside of the diff casing after putting a dab of loctite on the shanks. and the nut holds them in place. Once the diff is fitted

Thanks for the help guys all fixed put some longer studs in
Here's the broken parts lol
