Hi
I'm brand new to LRing and having a few issues so thought i'd get involve with the forums cos i know there's always experts hanging around somewhere.
I've had my discovery for about a month and just yesterday It started badly missfiring. My first thought was that i was running low on fuel (it read 1/4 tank but that's the lowest It had been since i got it) but i filled it up and it wasn't low fuel. Still had the problem with missfiring gradually getting worse till eventually it just stopped. Occasionally it would restart but only running on 1/2 cylinders before cutting out again. Thought maybe some dirt or water had got into the system so drained the filters and only small amounts of water in them.
Trying to prime and bleed the fuel system was proving tricky and I found that air seemed impossible to remove fully. I got most of it back out but there is still some left in the top of the algae filter (between the fuel filter and pump) but the engine does run at the moment but not sure for how long. Is it normally quite difficult to prime the fuel system? Should there always be air in the top of the algae filter? Does anyone know what could have caused the initial problem? I was thinking maybe there could be a crack in a fuel line letting air in although a visual inspection reveals nothing.
Any help would be awesome
cheers Paul
