Help -2004 Td4 Retrofit LR Cruise Control

I have just purchased 2004 Td4 Freelander SE which has everything on it with the exception of cruise control which i'd kill for. Contacted local LR garage to be told that cruise control can not be retro fitted to this particular make/model... Does anyone know if this true.. ?

I'd like to install the proper LR switches, etc if possible rather than after market kit and would welcome any advice anyone can give me...

Ideally i'd like to pay someone to install for me, if not then a list of all parts needed and how to go about would be next best thing.

I have fitted a WAECO MS800 aftermarket CC Unit into an '06 TD4 Manual HSE using all of the original switches.
Have a look/search on the thread "Freelander Cruise control help needed please" there is quite a lot of info there to start with. :5bcheers2:
A couple of other guys have had a go at this and it is not too difficult.
I would advise going with a plug-in throttle loom tho' as you can always disconnect and go back to standard if a fault appears. :doh:
All the info I found when I was working out what options I had, supports the view that if the LR CC kit wasn't ordered when it was built then it cant be done - there appears to be different wiring looms on the later models and some changes needed via the testbook even if you get all the right LR bits fitted?

I'b be quite happy with an aftermarket kit for my auto, so long as it looked like it belonged to the Td4 and not something i'd 'stuck on'...

Hi Stan,
Is your's a facelift or early one? The switches are different - early one is on centre console and can be found on fleabay for a couple of quids, later one over by drivers door is from dealer around £5 (earlier one probably a similar price from dealer?).
Wheel CC Paddle switches from dealer around £45 for Freelander - I fitted a couple intended for a Rover400 that were new/old stock Radio and CC from feabay £15 for the lot - had to cut the surrounds to fit and make the mounting bracket tho'.

Am trying to source parts/steering wheel etc.. i can buy some parts from main dealer but it's a case of knowing which ones... so figured i'd start here as am sure someone else must have done this... (if it was possible)...

Just a little confused as to what all of the parts are listed in that thread..

MS-BE3 --> Main on/off switch needed in dash
MS-F01 --> Accelerator wire (not sure where that goes)
WAECO MS800 --> Is this a relay, box or??
YUH 500080PUY Switch --> ?
YUH 100740LNF Switch --> ?
Auto Cruise ECU --> will i need?

Sorry to be a pain, once i understand what parts i need, am sure the penny will drop...
