Hello all.
my name is ciarain. I had a p38 dt manual on bags. that was written off 4 years ago. On the prowl again. My old account wasn’t working so I joined again but the search bar isn’t working for me at all. I’m looking into everything p38 and nothing works. Any way I want the same again so just fishing and getting wiser. hello from me.

Don't know your budget but there's one up for 5k somewhere in the home counties I think , looked superb - 4.0 HSE dark green .. just saw it today. Can send info if interested.

So no , it is not mine - why are you brits so suspicious? I was searching for Defenders and stumbled upon this ad - no idea if the dealer is reliable or not - caveat emptor. But for some reason they have put the word Defender in the Ad for a Range P38 and trusty Google found it - and I am also fond of P38s .. so I made a mental note. And now it's yours if you want it, because I need LHD.

£5000 is a bit steep for a 4.0 HSE.

1. love Monte Carlo blue - my TD5 defender ...
2. Now seriously if someone said I could have a trouble free P38 for 5 years , no issues , for 5000 - I would .. err .. vote Brexit. No hang on.
3. Seriously P38s can be a complete loss or an acceptable expense. Never an asset
4. But always a pleasure , well in a rafting on an inflatable sofa kind-a-way ..

Oh I could show you all something so funny. Something you all did at least once I imagine, and maybe only once.

good luck with the search, manual diesels are the best

I wouldn’t have a petrol. I had my p38 11 years and miss it big time. Love the engine and think the manual gearbox helps get the most out of it. Can’t believe so many people convert to springs. I love the m57 conversions too but surprisingly not that many post info on it. Let’s see if the search bar is back up its Sunday night.

you’ve had a P38 you so know what you’re getting into.
clean exterior and posh interiors push the price up, if you had a DT then you are not priveliged fussy.
I would expect anywhere from £800 if you like a challenge, 1200 for a fair one, 1800 I’d expect a nice example low miler with new FIP/chains.
You can easy pay in excess of 2G but there are plenty about. (More if you want an H&H with a badge that says twot)

They all have some issues so pick one that has problems you can deal with, that you are happy with the trim etc is cheaper than buying new interior after.
