New to here, although already had a warm welcome.

I pick up my first ever Defender on Saturday, and am looking forward to it.

Will post pics when she's home!

Well, let me introduce Stella. I set off at 2.30 am to drop my old car off at the new owners house, then 3 trains and 7 hours driving later, she was home. Needless to say that the 15 hours round trip was certainly a 'thrown in the deep end' kind of introduction.

I am also shamed to admit that after 2 hours, I bought some noise cancelling headphones

She needs some TLC, but I can see the potential, as fortunately can the wife.

Pic from the ebay listing, as I haven't took my own pic yet.

Looks great if the 7 hr drive has not dampened the enthusiasm. Welcome!

Well, 7 hours including the stop for food, and a fuel stop and a coffee stop!!!:p

It seems reliable. Used it all day today with no hiccups, and just looking forward to getting stuck in TBH

If well maintained most engines are bomb proof, certainly the 200 and 300tdi's. Some alloys would completely change the look of it.
