I have just registered on the LandyZone forum as I am having problems with a newly purchased 2011 Freelander 2 manual diesel, 54,000 miles on the clock. The car had to be returned to the garage a week after purchase as it was poor to start and had an intermittent misfiring/dip in power problem - my husband refers to it as an engine 'cough'. The car has had the starter button replaced and that has resolved that issue and also mass airflow meter changed but the misfiring seems worse. The problem seems to be more evident when the engine is warm. The garage are adamant that there is no problem with the car and suggested I return it for a refund if I was not happy with it!! Does anyone know what the problem could be as there are no faults recorded on the diagnostic. I really like the car but am concerned whether it should be kept. I have run a 2004 freelander for 12 years, loved it, but just upgraded it as it was getting old and never had a problem with it - really disappointed with the newer one!

Hello Linda,

Welcome to the loonyzone,

For a faster answer to a specific vehicle problem you may be better off posting your question in the specific vehicle type forum. As there will be people on there who may well have come across your particular vehicles problem.

Go to the top of the screen , open the forums link and scroll down , you will come to a Freelander section. then post your question there.

Hope you get it sorted.

Cheers
