Hi, my name is Joachim and purchased a '90 last July in the UK. It's an 85 (former C registration) and was converted to a 200td(i). I have been lurking for a few months now and found very useful information for the restoration of the little landy.

It was in a bad condition and I did a complete rebuild. Chassis was one big hole, tub corroded in the usual places, shocks, bushes, uj's, steeringhouse, exhaust, etc., all the usual suspects had to be replaced. Retrimmed the interior and did a full respray.

Also did a LHD conversion.

After all the restoration work I went to see my doctor to do an insanity test. Because it was just insane to drive this vehicle on his own wheels from the UK to the Netherlands. What was I thinking? Six months of remaining MOT will be a indication of the vehicles state?

Now after 6 months it's on the road again. Just in time for some fun in the snow.

So is she finished? No of course not. All the technical stuff is fine now (I think, dutch mot equivalent is up for next week), but there are still a lot of wishes. Many are cosmetic (Lights, hd bumper, cd-player+speakers), but a proper radiator and intercooler are on the top of the list.

So the past 6 months were some kind of crash course in Landyism. Gathered a lot of knowledge and happy to share it.

Cheers
Joachim

Sounds like you been busy, :welcome2:

Thank you all, for the warm welcome. And yes I've been busy. Fortunately a friend is a mechanic and can weld. He works as a subcontractor for the MOD and works on their Wolfs on a regular bases. So got a lot of help including a heated workshop to work on the car.

Some pics of the little landy:
