Hello I would like to introduce you to Emily. I purchased here last year and have been trundleing around in her since. She was sold to me as a 2a with a 200tdi conversion I have some doubts and think she might be a 3? She has some issues with wiring and leaks but she’s solid with very little corrosion. I’ll keep the dirty laundry on her in the series forum, she’s delightful to drive and has done everything asked of her. I’m still in the looking back and smiling stage of ownership. All the very best Tom.

Welcome to loonyzone, I couldn't say if its a 2a or 3 but looks nice, I do like the old ones they have something about them may just be the simplicity but they are nice:)
use it and enjoy it:)

Thanks Brian she does seem straight but seems to have had a few changes in her life. The plan is to use her and repair anything that goes wrong with improvements as I don’t have to worry about originality.

Is she with or without her turbo on the 200 conversion? The old 2ltr Perkins Prima diesels were a popular conversion once upon a time too.

Looks like a 3, hard to say really but it is a Land Rover trait to have kept building with what ever was in the parts bins from whatever model they had left in the bin, as Tom would say "it's not unusual" lol

Hello there, still in the looking back and smiling stage myself, got home this eve and fella asked why I was so happy ( usually get home with a scowl on my face - yeah I’m a joy to live with ), answered “Didn’t you see me pull up in the landy?” He just laughed!! Even having to constantly wipe the windscreen with a rag so I could see and being freezing cold didn’t bother me ;)

I’ve discovered a bathroom squeegee is great for the windows. Found one that’s duck shell blue with a wooden handle fits the tone of the vehicle.

Did a 400 mile trip the other day, boss couldn’t believe I was grinning from ear to ear after it. But then how can you not look at that and smile?
