Hi,
I thought i had better register as I've been a serial lurker for a while!

I got my 4.6 HSE P38 Range Rover about 2 1/2 years ago now, and from the outset i had major problems!
First was a slipped liner which was repaired by V8 developments with Top hat liners, whilst they had it i decided to have a high torque cam fitted.
once repaired and I had got the engine back in the car and the top end fitted i had a Prinz multi point Lpg system fitted which is fantastic!
Great every thing was running lovely until i had the crank sensor housing fail, It was towed home from work the 130 miles and repaired by a local garage who bodged it, so it failed again! now I wouldn't have minded but I paid a fair bit for the repair and he had it 6 weeks during the snow in 2009, I then got an indy to quote to repair it and they wanted £900
Sod that I said and nursed it home and repaired it my self for nout and its still going strong.

All good I thought I can drive it down to the South of France, What was i thinking, got as far as Lyon and then the Alternator packed up! so gave it to a nice French man to repair all he charged was £600 :( on the way back it started over heating,so heater on full in 30 degree heat all the way home, to keep the temps down, that turned out to be a combination of a blocked rad and bad viscous fan which i managed to fix when i got it home,

so to cut a short story long I've now got a truly reliable P38 that has cost so much money i couldn't part with it, just as well as i love it to bits,

If you managed to read this far then thanks for bothering
