Got my first landy in 1969 a Series 2A? 2 1/4 diesel hardtop that I took my driving test in (and passed). A couple of years later I wrote it off and didn't return to land rovers until 2000 when I bought an
ex NW Water 1988 One Ten with a 200TDI engine conversion (still got it but it must go soon) and currently using as my everyday vehicle a 1996 Disco 1 300TDI which is presently being fitted with a Turner Engineering recond engine. I'll let you know how the engine transplant works out.
