Hello,

Ive just inherited, yes inherited a 1995 'M' registration V8 Disco.

I have onwed 2 previous Landys back in the 80's both being Series 2a's & must admit I enjoyed 'playing' in them both upon the 'Flappits' & behind The Old Brodleans Rugby club at Hipperholme, for those that will remember the events that used to take place up there many many years ago ;)

I stopped enjoying myself when the child arrived but now hes a bit older and this vehical has arrived then I think im going to get back into a little offroading, nothing too serious, a bit off Green lanes etc.

After having a go in a TDi last Thursday I have decided the V8 is to go and a TDi is to be purchased. The TDi's just feel soo much 'lighter' to drive and I dont fancy offroading this as it never has been & it has 2 LPG tanks slung underneath the vehical as not to lose any interior space.

Just on the offchance anyone wants a V8 then contact me for pics, I would take a 200 series if fairly tidy with maybe a couple of offroad 'tweaks', Im probably only going to fit a 2 or 3 inch lift kit on one and a winch for the just incase, if that helps.

Whats the 'score' with Green Lanes these days as Ive heard of people having there cars confiscated and other things, I know there is an offroad centre in Bradford but havent been up yet as like I say im not going to offroad this beast anyway.

Where would I find a 'list' of useable Green Lanes too.

Anyway this is ment to be a hello to all, So it Hello from me :D

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Get yourself an OS Map and you can use any of the green lanes marked on it, but obviously you can not use bridleways or public footpaths.
Here is surrey we usually come across obstructions that the walkers put in the way to try to stop us coming through.
Only the other day we came across a rather large mound of soil dumped(probably by one of the local house owners) about 10 meters into the green lane, however it wasn't a very good obstruction, just a bit of fun for the landy ;).

Scott.
