Hello to all and yes as you might of gathered im a landy virgin! I joined your club last night wanting/needing advice after parting with some hard earned beans for my first land rover, my excitement is great but now the preverbial is twitching and i am wondering have i started my trip into landy world with the wrong bus!
So with a limited buget and bits of advice given by a local landy mechanic i went forth and bought this;
35,000 miles, No off-road use.3.5EFi V8 engine, galvinised chassis, Range Rover axles, TD5 body, stainless steel exhaust, Cat 1 Alarm Immobiliser, twin Kenlow Fans, Freestyle wheels w/265 BFGs, privacy glass, bull bars, CD/radio player. MOT August ,
she's a 1979 plate but not one bit of rust/corrosion anywhere.
I know shes a bit of a heinz 57 with a td5 defender body sat on range rover running gear with a thirsty old v8.
I ve paid £3500 for her, have i done the right thing?
I await all your opions/advice good or bad.

Kindest regards and whatever the outcome, glad to be here.

Welcome. No one really gets it right with the first bus. Thats why its fun learning. This will not be your last model or rebuild if you are a true nut. Have fun. Keep us posted.
