New on here, from Belgium ... and have a reason to visit here.
I own a 2004 model Defender 110, which is since two weeks in the garage, awaiting repairs, as the differential suddenly died on me, after making a horrible noise, and the car couldn't be moved. My usual garage said they 'd do the repair, but doesn't seem to move very fast. A quick look around on the net, and differentials are easily obtained, both new and revised, at an acceptable cost. It seems that it is however a time consuming job to replace the differential alone, i read, and it's much easier to replace the entire axis, spindle, it seems, as this, from what i understand contains the differential (?). What would you do? Also, would you buy new or 'revised'? Thanks beforehand!
Best Regards,
J.J.
