Hi guys and girls,
Bought myself a 1990 90 hardtop with 200tdi conversion nearly a year ago and have been lurking here ever since, so thought I'd introduce myself.
I have a couple of plans for it including putting windows in the back and a potential respray at some point.
I'm looking at getting a welder at the moment as rear crossmember has seen better days so will need doing at some point. I've heard about these VAT free days at Machine Mart. Does anyone know how I would go about getting one?

Hi Shaun I put some sliding windows and alpine windows in mine a while back. For vat free days just buy something from Machine Mart and they take your name and address and add you to their mailing list then a couple of times a yearthey send out the vat free vouchers

Hi marmaduke, thanks for that. I saw the wheeler dealers where they put windows in and it didn't look too hard, although they make everything look stupidly easy anyway so maybe it might not be so straight forward.
I have bought from machine mart in the past, but never had anything through about them. Strange.
