Hello All,
My name as you will guess is Simon.
I am from Wolverhampton in the West Mids
I am 35 years of age ;-)
I have owned a Discovery 300tdi for the last year and up to now it has been little trouble.
When I first bought it it had 115,000 miles and now I have clocked up 137,000miles, during this time I have only up to last month when it went through an MOT had to put on a water pump and repaired the rear electric window module.
Last month the MOT showed up 2 faulty trailing arm track rod ends (Which I replaced at very little expence), and when I went to get the tracking checked somehow I managed to put them on perfectly and was out of track by 0.5mm (Horray)
Then a week later (mid Feb) the steering damper decided to bend and jam like a banana (Picture below) Unbolted and got myself home, replaced next day.
But from this Sunday things changed, grrrr.
The rear exhaust and centrebox decided to part company with each other and then last night on the way home the clutch started to slip.

Oh the joy of owning a DISCO :)

Anyway the clutch is being changed on Friday by a Landy specialist in Telford, Shropshire (Roeans), due to I have not got
(a) the time to do it myself (Off to Devon next week)
(b) Not got enough tools and space to do the job myself.

Anyway Hello again.
Here are a few pictures of my old girl, and the knackered steering damper.
