I think when I take my series to Wales I'll tow it there behind my discovery :p
What a luxury! A luxury that I don't have. I'd just have to take a tent and a few jerry cans of fuel.

It's looking Good, have you got any plans for it, or is it staying as it is?

Thanks. I want to stick bigger wheels on her, the water pump needs replacing and the fuel tank is leaking so i reckon i'll just get a rband new stainless one.

Other than that, not really, i'm going to paint the headlamp surrounds the colour of the body like they should be. Treat what little rust is on the bulkhead (practically none) and the doors need some work. Otherwise it's pretty much as i want it. Though TPO siloconned the roof to the body, so no doorless convertible in the summer :(

Nice, sounds like you've got a gud un!!
Shame about the silicone, but it's the UK so summer doesn't exist anyway lol;)

Yeah, just would help as even in the winter it gets ****ing hot in the cab lol. the engine warms my bones.

Haha fair enough.

It must be all this global warming from uneconomical diesel cars that is causing Britain's staggeringly high temperatures...it was almost 8°c this morning :p

Everyone will be wearing shorts before we know it :)

Now I'm talking about it I can't wait for summer to hurry up lol. I've had enough of this rain
See, i loved rain and the winter my whole life. Then i got a leaky land rover. Now i just want dry weather, before i used some liquid rubber to touch up the wholes in the rubber that were there when i got it, i was getting entire lakes in the bed at the back.

That's a point. Get used to that, depending what you get.

Yeah I don't normally mind the wet/cold but it gets boring after a while.

Maybe I should just seal everything....apart from one door? o_O

Yeah I had a black box on my first car for my first year of driving, they save a lot of money, but you have to drive everywhere very cautiously, cornering slowly, no sharp braking etc.

having one fitted i assume will stop u trying out drifting skills, lol

only joking of course but yeh i
Just got an ins quote for a 3dr fl1 td4 £1300...which i dont thibk is too bad, thats for third party fire and theft

that indeed isn’t bad , have u tried fully comp , also A plan insurance are very good , don’t forget break down cover , just for peace of mind

they also come with a thatcham alarm as standard

5 x door is normally better so passengers etc can get in and out easier , from 2002 onwards the trim and interior is black and nicer

at least it gives u some options,

True, it's quite difficult to do anything too silly in a 1.4 77bhp punto anyway lol.

That's the bonus of having no friends...you don't need extra doors lol

at least it gives u some options,
I really appreciate all the advice I'm getting, thanks :)

no worries and ur find the forum a very helpful place along with plenty of info

pros and cons with the different models and ultimately what u want to use it for

plus have a look at the cost of service parts etc for each model

Yeah. Everyone seems pretty friendly and willing to help, I'm looking forward to getting something with the green oval on and having some fun with it.

Good point about the service parts!
