Well I got my first Landy a few months ago and love it to bits. It's a Freelander TD4 SP.
I have a few issues with it so I'll be picking your brains quite a bit. It's on an 04 plate, 90000 miles and the bodywork is good.
The back keeps getting very wet but I haven't pinned down the leak yet...the door seal looks OK and It's had the statutory hole drilled in the floor.I just can't see where it's coming in,I even took the carpet out .
The hand brake is a two handed job to get any grip. And I'm not sure the brakes are 100%. They groan as much as I do.
The headlights really need brightening up--- I've been to Specsavers and it's not my eyes!
Something like a fan runs on under the bonnet after I've switched off, but not always, and it stops on it's own??
Oh yeah..and there's a tear in the driver seat.
One thing I really hate though is the 30mpg..any tips on how to improve it ?? Apart from leaving it parked up.
I still love it and just need a name now LOL

Welcome to the forum.

With regards to the handbrake, a common problem is that the little auto adjuster that works on the rear shoes seizes up. Try taking it apart, cleaning it and then adjusting so that it's a couple of clicks off from actually causing the brake shoes to bind as a good starting point. The auto adjustment should do the rest the next time the handbrake is applied.
