Hello All,

First time owner of a discovery 2 which is now welded and MOT'd and ready to roll (Lots to do for off road but good for now). I have a fabrication workshop so reason for buying was making things like sliders and bumpers myself but so far spent more time making sill plates, arches and chassis plates for the rot!

Looking forward to getting in some greenlaning / off road stuff along with some camping.

Hello and welcome.

Just whack some decent rubber on your rims and get out there, spend the money on fuel and enjoy the lanes and countryside as much as you can before lashing out on all the gear, sturdy snatch strap and a few shackles and decent recovery points and you'll be golden :)

Me and some lads often lane a bit round Wilts so keep an eye on the regional and green laning sections to see whats happening near you ;)

Weird - I have such a sense of deja vu here.
Have you joined before ? Or The D2 site maybe?
Anyways - welcome- it's great to have another local(ish) person on board

Deja vu indeed! Yes I joined the D2 forum which is great for stuff about the vehicle but noticed more greenlaning and off road discussion over here.

I’ll be out dinner hunting for some mud now it’s roadworthy haha
