Hello from North Herts

Hi to all in the Landyzone.

I recently purchased a 1989 110 with a 2.5 turbo diesel, (19J) with 156,000 miles. Its the station wagon version with 12 seat configuration. The bodywork and chassis are pretty sound but as you'd expect there are some rust issues, skin corrosion and the odd leak to control.

Anyone near Stevenage that can offer maintenance advice I would be pleased to hear from.

My first task will be to underseal with waxoyl.

Next up will be to try and stem the leaks through the top of the front doors. The rubbers seal against the door, but the water runs into the cab between the rubber and the inside of the door frame.

The rear window de-mister does not work.

The middle switch to the right of the steering wheel has a bulb in but no cover so I have no idea what it does.

A couple of door sills have rotted and need replacing.

The ally has corroded in places leaving holes in the skins.

The roof liner needs replacing.

Stereo doesn't work and there is no alarm fitted.

A busy winter is in store

Sounds like you've go your hands full there.
I'm another Herts 110 driver. I cant help with, maintenance advice as I'm a noob myself and learning the hard way.
I've not had the best experience with some Supplier / Garages / Services in Herts so can only offer opinion if you decide to use any local garages. Really search the treads and shop around.
