Hello from (naughty) new Discover 2 owner

Hi All

Sorry I wasn't aware of the etiquette and jumped straight in with a list of problems without introducing myself so here I am retrospectively introducing myself (thank you to those who gave me a polite nudge on this one)

I have just bought a 2004 Discovery 2 and as you may have gathered I'm not used to the Discovery quirks yet so hopefully you lovely people will be able to put me straight.

Looking forward to learning as I go with help from your collective experiences.

Hi Kath, :welcome2: Nice recovery there - if you hadn't come over to introduce yourself your ABS wouldn't be the only thing grumbling at you

Enjoy your Disco - standard features aside, they're great and once you've got your sorted you won't regret it. Your engine niggles sound like the classic injector harness oil issue. The TD5 takes a bit of getting used to, but once yours is 100% healthy, and you understand the engine, they are a pleasure to drive - and you can always have it chipped for an extra bit of go.
